Forever 21 dress, vintage cuff, gifted mint bag, H&M wedges.

Sorry for being so MIA lately. It has been almost impossible to get daily photos of my outfits. Hopefully this will change soon and I will be the frequent blogger that I have always hoped to be. I'll be back to my regular outfit of the day posts by this weekend.

These photos were taken by the very talented photographer Amanda Leilani. I had to go with a very basic outfit because it was almost ninety degrees out which is pretty insane for the middle of April. I've been acquiring some vintage band shirts that I'm hoping to show off with my high waisted skirts and leather jacket. Eventually even some high waisted jeans if I ever come across a pair that I don't hate.

In a few days I will also be going to a huge vintage warehouse where I will probably go into a shopping coma because of vast selection they have. You'll be seeing hundreds of pieces from multiple shopping trips there if I have anything to do with it. I may even do a 'shop with me' post there if there's good enough lighting.

L I F E S T Y L E: Around the Apartment

It's been so incredibly windy outside that it's impossible to get any outfit photos lately. So I thought that I may snap a few photos around my apartment and some new pieces that will be included in upcoming looks.

The mint bag in the first photo is one of the few "trendy" items that I own, it actually came along with a subscription to a magazine. Lately I've been wearing it out to the bar and when I need my hands free. It's actually become a staple in my wardrobe. In the second photo is a dress that I am SO excited to show off because it is just so perfect. I call it my 'Beetlejuice' dress although my coworkers playfully call it my 'referee' dress. I've also included a photo of my adorable cacti that my boyfriend got me for Valentine's Day. A lot of the cacti have been blooming and extending themselves!

On Sunday I have a photo session planned out with a very talented photographer who I respect a lot. I feel very privileged to have her take some of my outfit photos and I can't wait for you all to see her work! Hopefully my bangs will have grown out and evened themselves out so I can look my best.

PS:  It's been a long time since I've gotten into new music, but I highly recommend Making Mirrors by Gotye. This is the first album that I've bought in about a year and I don't regret it one bit.

O B S E S S E D: Karen Walker Eyewear

Can we all take a moment to appreciate how awesome this lookbook for Karen Walker's Eyewear is? The lookbook is titled Karen's Little Aliens and you can take a look at it yourself right here. I decided to only show my favorite shades even though they are all pretty amazing.

I'm actually on the look out for my first pair of prescription sunglasses and I have my eye on the style called Taxi (third photo) preferably in black or tortoise. For a while I thought that I may want a pair of classic Ray-Bans, but a cat eye frame is so appealing and much more flattering for my face shape.

Once I finally decide on a pair, which has been taking me about a year now, I will definitely show them off on here as soon as possible.
